Sherlyn Chopra's double dhamaka in double role in Paurashpur Season 3

Your show 'Paurashpur' is streaming on Alt Balaji, what kind of feedback are you getting? What would you like to say about your character in this show?

First of all, I would like to thank Ekta Kapoor ji who allowed me to play a double role in Paurashpur Season 3. In Paurashpur Season 2, I played the role of Maharani Snehlata. In Paurashpur Season 3, I am not only playing the role of Maharani Snehlata but also the role of Vishkanya Bhumika. I consider myself very lucky that I got a wonderful opportunity to do a double blast in a historical web series.

What did you find most challenging in your character?

Maharani Snehlata is very stubborn and ambitious and it was not very difficult for me to relate to her because I am also stubborn and ambitious like her. If we talk about Vishkanya Bhumika, she is very brave and has the poison of at least a thousand snakes inside her. I don't have that poison inside me, but when the time comes, I can bite like a serpent.

Do you feel comfortable or uncomfortable in doing bold and intimate scenes on-screen?

I think if you depict intimacy as a poem or poetry, then it can look very beautiful. Whenever a bold scene was shot on the set of Paurashpur Season 3, there were female assistant directors and female stylists there so that the actors felt very comfortable. For this, I would like to thank the entire team who made us feel comfortable.

You also have a pregnancy scene in this series, so how comfortable were you in that scene?

I have learned one thing from my late manager, he always used to say, “Live your life as if you are acting, and act as if you are living life”. When I was playing the role of a pregnant woman, I thought about how I would feel if I was pregnant in real life and how I would feel if someone was taking that child away from me. Whatever I felt by putting myself in that situation, I showed the same on screen. I have not used glycerin for any scene in this series and I think if an actor cries during a scene without using glycerin, it means that he is feeling whatever is happening in that scene from within.

Is there any sad moment in your real life that is still with you?

We often see how people who claim to be friends call the media and auction my honor and tear my honor to shreds. Whenever I see something like this on social media, I just wonder why this sorrow does not end. After all, how long will this continue, how long will people keep auctioning my honor? Recently some of my friends told me that I should just focus on my work because if there are some bad people in this society, there are some good people too. I would like to thank my favorite friend for this lesson and message.

Every character teaches an actor something, what have you learned from this character?

Maharani Snehlata is a very powerful queen, and to keep the throne safe, she can sacrifice anything, even if it is her child. When I played her character, I understood that this is how one loves the seat of power or the throne. The intoxication of power cannot be compared to any other intoxication. To live that power and to work day and night feeling it is a unique thing in itself. After playing this character, I have many times wished that in the future I should feel so powerful that nothing said by anyone disturbs me.

Some time back I was on a flight where I met Asha Bhosle Tai and she also advised me that if I ever want to take a stand, I can take a legal stand after consulting my lawyer but coming in front of the media and creating a scene and abusing does not befit a heroine. I agree with her on this and I want to thank her a lot for this.

Have you been approached for the upcoming Bigg Boss OTT, and will you accept it?

If approached, I would like to think about their offer. I believe that no matter which reality show it is, the one who is real wins because, in the end, everyone's masks come off.

Rakhi has recently undergone surgery, so have you spoken to her?

I have not had any conversation with Rakhi Ji recently. I would just like to say this much to Rakhi that Rakhi, whatever the relationship between us is and whatever it may be, I will always wish the best for you and I pray to God that you get well soon and come back among us and make us laugh and cry. Make us laugh more and cry less.
